Our Prime Steer Beef is 100% Kiwi, no imports whatsoever. Locally sourced from inter-generational Farmers in the Auckland, Waikato and Central Plateu regions means we have an intimate knowledge of how these Angus, Hereford and Charolais breeds are reared.

So when you are enjoying one of our juicy steaks, you can also feel great about supporting passionate New Zealand farmers. Purely grass fed and aged on the bone that little bit longer we guarantee a truly tasty experience.

Graded based on a host of criteria including marbling, meat colour and fat coverage along with being aged for 21 days, means you get a cut of beef that's superbly tender and far more robust in flavour than what you may be used to. 

Sourced from the Canterbury region of our South Island, our Free Range Merino and Romney bred alpine Lamb is finer grained in texture and delivers fall off the bone flavour.

A white, creamy fat and richer looking meat will be what you notice first with our Lamb, however of the most noticeable difference is the sweeter notes when it comes to the taste.

Whether it be a Whole Leg Roast or Mid-Loin Chops caramelising and sizzling away on the barbecue, you will feel better about choosing to buy Lamb from The Meat Box.

Ethically farmed and cared for under the highest standards of animal welfare, our Pork is 100% sow stall, antibiotic and GMO free. 

With plenty of space to display natural behaviours and fed on a diet rich in energy, minerals and vitamins, you can feel better about choosing our locally farmed Pork from our growers in the Waikato region.

Sourced from trusted Auckland farmers who practice the traditions and techniques of raising Poultry in line with the highest welfare standards, means you can feel great about buying fresh Chicken when shopping with us.

Gift certificates must be redeemed through our web site towards the purchase of eligible products. Purchases are deducted from the Gift Certificate balance. Any unused balance will be placed in the recipient’s Gift Certificate account when redeemed. If an order exceeds the amount of the Gift Certificate, the balance must be paid with a credit card or other available payment method.

The ‘e-voucher’ will be sent to your chosen recipient’s email address, featuring a unique code which they can use to redeem against any purchase on www.themeatbox.co.nz . You don’t need to buy other products to be able to send a Gift Certificate – obviously, in that case there will be no shipping costs.
