Terms and Conditions - "The Cook Off" Promotion

 

1. Overview

1.1. Promotion Name: "The Cook Off"
1.2. Promoter: Kennerley Gourmet Grocery Limited, trading as The Meat Box, www.themeatbox.co.nz
1.3. Promotion Period: Starts on 1st June 2024 and ends on 1st December 2024. The promoter reserves the right to extend the end date at its sole discretion.
1.4. Eligibility: The promotion is open to legal residents of New Zealand who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, excluding employees and immediate family members of Kennerley Gourmet Grocery Limited or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.

2. How to Enter

2.1. To enter, participants must submit a photo or video of a recipe or meal cooked using The Meat Box meat and/or products:

  • On social media using the hashtag #themeatboxnzrecipes.
  • On the website using the submission upload tool at www.themeatbox.co.nz.

2.2. Entries must be submitted during the Promotion Period. Each valid photo or video submitted will count as one entry into the draw.

2.3. Participants can submit multiple entries, and each entry will be treated as a separate submission.

3. Prize Draws and Prizes

3.1. There will be a monthly prize draw where the number of winners and prizes will vary each month.

3.2. Prizes and the number of winners per month are as follows:

  • June 2024:3 Winners - The Meat Box Slow Cookers
  • July 2024: 3 Winners - Meat Boxes worth $150
  • August 2024: 3 Winners - Meat Boxes worth $150 and Knives Set 
  • September 2024: 3 Winners - The Meat Box Air-fryers
  • October 2024: 1 Winner - The Meat Box BBQ
  • November 2024: 3 Winners - Win Christmas on us, $150 Meat Box Voucher
  • December 2024:5 Winners - Meat Box BBQ Sets 

3.3. Winners will be notified via direct message or email within 5 working days after each draw.

3.4. The winner's first name and first initial of their surname will be announced on the Promoter's official social media channels and communicated via email to all participants.

3.5. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.

3.6. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond their control make it necessary to do so.

3.7 The winner must contact The Promotor within 3 months to claim their prize. If the winner does not contact The Promotor in this timeframe, the prize will be forfeited. 

4. Content Rights and Usage

4.1. By entering this promotion, participants grant The Meat Box the non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, and share their submitted content on the following platforms:

  • The Meat Box's social media channels.
  • The Meat Box's website.
  • The Meat Box's email marketing.
  • Paid digital advertisements.

4.2. If a submitted photo or video includes an identifiable person and is to be used in paid advertisements, The Meat Box will contact the participant for explicit consent prior to use. If no identifiable person is present, the content may be used without additional permission.

4.3. For social media, email and website use, content may be used as submitted, regardless of whether an identifiable person is included.

5. General Terms

5.1. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant suspected of tampering with or undermining the entry process or violating these terms and conditions.

5.2. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize that are not expressly included in the prize description.

5.3. The promotion is governed by New Zealand law, and any disputes arising from this promotion shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.

5.4. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the promotion at any time without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to technical issues, fraud, or any other event beyond the control of the Promoter.

5.5. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other social media platform.

6. Privacy

6.1. By participating in the promotion, participants consent to the Promoter using their personal data provided during the submission process for the purpose of administering the promotion and contacting the winner, in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
