- 1 pack of The Meat Box Homestyle premade Meatballs
- 4 sandwich rolls or a large baguette
- 1 can (400g) pasta sauce or chopped tomatoes
- 1 mozzarella ball, cut into pieces
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 40g Parmesan, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Follow the package instructions to heat The Meat Box Homestyle premade Meatballs.
Heat half of the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add half of the garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Pour in the Pasta sauce or chopped tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 10 minutes until thickened.
Add the heated meatballs to the sauce and simmer gently for 3-5 minutes, basting the meatballs in the sauce.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Slice the sandwich rolls or baguette lengthwise but not all the way through. Toast the rolls in the oven for about 5 minutes until slightly crispy.
Place the meatballs and sauce onto each roll.
Insert pieces of mozzarella into the sandwiches.
Sprinkle grated Parmesan over the top.
Return the sandwiches to the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly
Remove the sandwiches from the oven.
Cut the baguette into portions if using a large baguette.
Serve immediately.
