Ingredients
- 1 pack of The Meat Box Homestyle premade Meatballs
- 4 sandwich rolls or a large baguette
- 1 can (400g) pasta sauce or chopped tomatoes
- 1 mozzarella ball, cut into pieces
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 40g Parmesan, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions
Heat the Meatballs:
- Follow the package instructions to heat The Meat Box Homestyle Meatballs.
Prepare the Sauce:
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add 1 clove of garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the pasta sauce or chopped tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 10 minutes until thickened.
- Add the heated meatballs to the sauce and simmer gently for 3-5 minutes, basting them in the sauce.
Toast the Bread:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Slice the sandwich rolls or baguette lengthwise, but not all the way through.
- Toast in the oven for 5 minutes until slightly crispy.
Assemble the Sandwiches:
- Place the meatballs and sauce onto each roll.
- Insert pieces of mozzarella into the sandwiches.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan over the top.
Bake & Serve:
- Return the sandwiches to the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and slice into portions if using a large baguette.
- Serve immediately.
