- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 200°C for about 5 minutes.
Season the Chicken: Pat the drumsticks dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss them with olive oil, ensuring each drumstick is well-coated. In a separate bowl, mix the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and thyme (if using). Sprinkle the seasoning over the drumsticks, tossing to coat evenly.
Cook the Drumsticks: Arrange the drumsticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece for even cooking. Cook at 200°C for 10 minutes.
Flip and Finish: After 10 minutes, open the air fryer and flip the drumsticks. Continue cooking for another 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C and the skin is crispy and golden.
Serve: Remove the drumsticks from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot with your favourite dipping sauce or sides.
Tips:
- For extra crispiness, spray a bit more olive oil halfway through cooking.
- Adjust the seasoning to taste or try adding a dash of cayenne for a spicy kick!
